Portsmouth Tri-sail.

Membrane Installation Services - Marc Thomas

The structure a sculptural piece was installed at the junction of the M27 motorways near Portsmouth.

An innovative project and complex design, the 43metre high sail was constructed to withstand the strong winds associated with the south coast.

Each panel was manufactured from mesh PTFE material tensioned with adjustable cables connected to stainless steel membrane plates.

The Gateway to Portsmouth project and has been seen by countless numbers of visitors.
